Accessible for All
The Greenway is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring gentle slopes that never exceed 5 degrees. For your convenience, two fully accessible restrooms are available at the 2 km mark on the western end, and another can be found at the 6.5 km mark on the eastern end. Explore and enjoy all that the Greenway has to offer!

In Nova Scotia, dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 2.5 meters (6 feet) in provincial parks and public trails, including swimming areas, and on crown land, to protect both the public, the dogs themselves and the wildlife.

Why Leashes?
The leash law is in place to protect the public and dogs from potential harm, as dogs can act differently in unfamiliar territory and may bite in certain circumstances.

Penalties for Violations:
Complaints about dogs off their leash in Nova Scotia's provincial parks are taken seriously, and penalties can include fines of $167.71 to $2000, up to six months in jail, or both.
